October 2020 and we were so lucky to snatch a vacation in The Lake District.
We stayed in an amazing newly built ‘cottage’ with every facility we could wish for (just as well as eating out was challenging due to COVID restrictions). The accommodation, situated on the edge of Ambleside proved to be a fabulous base for our walking holiday. Straight out the door we were into beautiful landscapes. A roaring river ran past the building and sheep were grazing on the hill outside on the opposite side of the property. Ten minutes walking and we were climbing hills and accessing some of the most beautiful countryside in England!
