The North Norfolk Coastal Path is a delight wherever you encounter it so it was no surprise when we walked the last part of this route, from Holme to Old Hunstanton to revel in the sights and sounds of this classic coastal scene. I’ve no idea why, but I hadn’t walked this bit of the path before (I always take the path alongside the River Hun on the opposite side of the golf course to the beach path)! One of those examples of ignoring what’s on your doorstop I suppose. It was therefore, also a revelation. The sky was moody with a fairly low sun which provided a very dramatic light to illuminate the scene. Clouds were amazing and the path simple to follow (I didn’t really need my OS Map app this time out).

This walk is ideal in spring, summer and autumn (some parts can get a bit ‘boggy’ in winter although the skies can be the most dramatic!). All in all a relaxing and very beautiful hike.
