Some surprises today when my phone battery died. No phone, no audiobooks, NO MAP!!
I was well ‘togged up’ for this one. Easterly wind chill making it feel like -10, blowing straight off the sea across the marshes!
So, although I was we’ll prepared for the weather I hadn’t charged my phone so just after I took these pictures (approx 4 miles into the walk) my battery died… No phone, no audiobook, no camera and NO MAP!! Luckily I had just been studying the route and remembered most of it (I did a slight detour but it didn’t affect the distance – which was important because I’m trying to achieve 1000 miles this year and need every step recorded).
Anyway 8.5 miles in and around the marsh and home before dark…
