I started walking this route in 2020 and it was an immediate ‘hit’!

Many environments traversed here from the sometimes eccentric holiday homes along the beach road to the RSPB nature reserve at Snettisham Beach. Crossing over to the Royal Sandringham Estate (permissive paths) and linking up with parts of the old King’s Lynn to Hunstanton railway (disused) and back toward Snettisham with the huge spire of the Church of St Mary always visible and giving you a reference point throughout the walk.

Just before Snettisham however are the wonderful ‘Life Wood’ and Ingoldisthorpe Common. After meandering around the western edge os Snettisham village across the A149 to Snettisham Common and then… the most beautiful woodland at Lodge Hill!
