Rowing with the Norwegian Team

On Sunday 11th September 2022 Catherine successfully concluded a recreational rowing trip down the River Great Ouse from St Neots Rowing Club to the West Norfolk Rowing Club at Denver in Norfolk.

I dropped her off in St Neots on Thursday 8th September as she had volunteered to help rig the boats. She had applied as a solo rower and was subsequently allocated to a team.  Her team mates were all from Norway and were indeed an experienced crew who had rowed their way around the world! It was a good match as all members of the team agreed to get back together (probably somewhere near Olso) for a row (except that I am to be sent off to wander in the forests while they enjoy the experience of rowing the Fiords!)

Four days later I met Catherine as she completed the tour in Denver (near Downham Market).
