Another beautiful spring day and fewer restrictions mean that we can once more resume our ‘Friday Pub Walks’ 🙂

For the second time in a week we managed to schedule in another pub walk. These were always a feature in the past few years but, obviously, we had to change our routines like everyone else in the past 12 months. Getting ‘back on the road’ or probably ‘PRoWs’ is the main aim and this route is another favourite. It was a last minute decision prompted by a Facebook post informing us that the ‘Gin Trap Inn‘ was opening for a couple of hours Friday and Saturday evenings (until more normal opening resumes in May). We have traditionally parked up beside The Whitehorse pub in Holme (and lately in our friends, Dave and Hellen Morrells’ driveway!) but this announcement meant we had to change our starting point (of course!). COVID restrictions maybe lifting but not everyone (or at least every pub) is applying the same schedule, so we must remain flexible in these challenging times 😮

I highly recommend this 8 mile treck as it takes in part of the North Norfolk Coastal Path, Ringstead Downs and THREE great pubs (the other one is The Le Strange Arms – which is a fantastic place to begin and end at in the summer as it’s one of the few places on the East Coast of England where you can watch the sun setting over the sea – check the geography… OS Maps)
