Wow! A beautiful spring day, although the wind was still from the North-North East (straight off the North Sea!).

We arrived at Helen and Dave Morrell’s house in Holme next the Sea in the early afternoon (not just for the free parking) it was lovely to see them both and enjoy tea and cake (in the garden of course) before setting off for the bus stop on the A149.

What amazing bus stops they have in Holme too! Very POSH! We waited 10 minutes for the ‘Coast Hopper’ bus to transport us further east to Burnham Overy Staithe where we picked up the North Norfolk Coastal Path.

The sun was hot and the wind cold… very cold. The landscape however, was stunning.

This walk is 13 miles of the most fantastic scenery, marshes, beaches, woodland and sky… lots of sky. Highly recommended at any time of the year… The Route

As this was a ‘Friday Pub Walk’ (although we didn’t take a drop :-o) it would be remiss of me to forget the pubs along the way…
